First hour is short and punchy games, followed by longer advanced formats i the second half.

IMPROV FUNDAMENTALS COURSE

You’ve tried the Tuesdays, watched the shows, and now you want to be even better? This course is for you! Running alongside our regular open Tuesday courses, the Improv Fundamentals Course is a structured course where you will learn all the fundamental techniques, skills, and forms for becoming a skilled improviser.

Sunday Advanced Training

For those passionate about improv comedy and other forms of comedy, every Sunday experienced improvisers practise together in the theatre. Training often follows 6-week modules focusing on a specific format. Short form, long form, sketches, and more. Contact us if you think you’d be suitable for Sunday trainings.
18:45-21:00 at Theater de Wilde Wereld.
Bi-annual membership fee required.

About Us
Who We Are
The Wageningen Comedy Club (WCC) are a Wageningen-based English-language improv comedy group who are passionate about live theatre improv comedy and other comedic pursuits. We love to challenge ourselves into new ways of making folks laugh, whether its through punchy short form games, gripping long format shows, musical rhyme and wit, playing out full sketches, and so much more! Together, we have built a positive and thriving community of silly-folks in Wageningen.
The Wageningen Comedy Club started in 2015 as a way to try out improv and has since grown into a full-fledged stichting (foundation) since 2024. We host twice-weekly trainings at De Cultuurwerkplaats and Theater De Wilde Wereld. We also put on regular shows at least once every two months (HONK @ De Cultuurwerkplaats), and special experienced performer shows at Theater de Wilde Wereld. Our performing venues are not just limited to these, you can often find us at Gluren bij de Buren, with other improv groups in Amsterdam and Eindhoven, or other miscellaneous locations.
Since 2024, the WCC also runs dedicated Fundamentals Improv classes for those seeking classes specifically aimed at development of improv basics for beginners. Keep an eye on our social channels for when the next run will be!
The Wageningen Comedy Club is open to all folks – if you’ve ever wanted to try improv for any reason, it’s easy to join! Our classes are free to join, and take place in English language, so many nationalities are able to take part. Our regular members come from all over the world, including Honduras, New Zealand, USA, Kosovo, and much more! We foster a community culture, where training together is important, but so is the downtime, so tea breaks and trips to the pub afterwards are regular.
